Hamilton Aguiar: mix of techniques and cultures
Hamilton Aguiar's Brazilian roots blend with the culture of the United States, the country chosen by the artist to live in for the last 35 years.

Upon arriving in North America in 1987, Aguiar was working in the construction industry. From this activity, he became involved in restoration projects, as well as texturing and effects on murals and decoration elements. Art was already a passion, but that's when it began to have more and more importance in his life.

Constantly experimenting with new references and painting techniques in his work, Aguiar combines the art of gilding, metallic foliage and patina, with liquid resin, transcending the boundaries of art as far as possible. “I like to use different elements, discover and learn new techniques and create collectible pieces of the most diverse styles”, he says.

Among his most constant themes is the change of seasons in natural landscapes, which are shown in series inspired by the landscapes of his homeland, the state of Minas Gerais, in Brazil, on the beaches of Miami, among others. “For the Amenity Kit, we chose an illustration that is part of a flower collection. It was a great pleasure for me to participate in this project. Giving space to artists in a partnership like this is a way of valuing the region”, he adds.
